FAQ's

How do I measure my P.D?
This is simply the measurement between the centres of your eyes.  Some nice Opticians will give it to you, if not, you can simply mark a dot on your own glasses in line with the centre of your pupils – and measure the distance.  If you are unable to provide it select 62 on the P.D. scale.  This is the average that the industry uses as standard.  Again, if you are not sure, please get in touch.  We will help to sort it out for you.

What are polarized lenses?
The polarized lenses block out almost 100% of glare, allowing only useful vertical light to enter the eye. The lenses reduce eye fatigue by stopping squinting and eye strain while offering total UV 400 protection. True Polaroid lenses come with unique scratch resistance and are tested to withstand impact. They are safe and light making them the ideal prescription sunglasses for sports

What colour lens tint should I choose?
Grey is a good colour for general use and provides the most natural colour vision.  However, it does not enhance contrast.
Brown provides a warmer appearance to colours and makes greens more vibrant.  It also enhances contrast.  Good for activities where judging distance is important.
Green provides a smooth tone to colours and filters blue light.  Good for sports where objects need to show up against the background.

Where can I get sunglasses that go over glasses?
A great idea for sports eyewear is the new Polaroid range of sun covers. Polaroid Suncovers fit over your optical frame providing a low cost option to sun protection while enjoying outdoor activities. They have the full benefit of polarized lenses.
